After completing his Medical Degree at the University of Adelaide, Dr. Bahrami undertook a PhD in diabetic eye disease at the University of Sydney. He subsequently completed his Ophthalmology surgical training in South Australia. Bobak then undertook two subspecialty surgical fellowships; in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide and in Corneal Surgery at Bristol Eye Hospital, United Kingdom. He is experienced in all aspects of corneal and refractive surgery, including full thickness and lamellar corneal transplants, refractive laser vision correction and pterygium surgery.

Dr. Bahrami is an academic surgeon-scientist with an interest in improving cataract and refractive surgical outcomes in patients with multiple eye pathologies as well as optimising diagnosis of keratoconus. He has over 30 peer reviewed scientific publications and he supervises higher degree students through Adelaide University and Flinders University. He is committed to improving patient care by expanding the scientific evidence underpinning his practice.
